“Grab an idea, make it your dream…with love, discipline and passion, believe in yourself enough to watch your dream become reality.”
Two-time creative winner in the 2006 Tahitian Pearl Trophy, the acclaimed international jewelry design competition, Angela De Sousa, founder and head designer of Alegna Designs jewellery originals, chooses her inspiration through nature’s organic forms to create female and male designs that adorn clients with sophisticated simplicity. De Sousa’s own version of the spiraled nautilus centers the Alegna Designs brand, symbolizing evolution, growth and changes seen in life cycles and fashion trends.
Trained in Europe in the arts of Goldsmith & Jewelry Design, De Sousa completed her program from the well recognized “Metallo Nobile Design and Technical Jewellery School” in Florence, Italy. She furthered her training in the art of Wax Creations at the “Raul Ibarra Jewelry School” in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and advanced her techniques at the best Jewelry School in Caracas, Venezuela with master “Alexis De La Sierra”. This native Venezuelan designer regularly refines her skills and keeps a pulse on new techniques through a variety of programs in the U.S. and abroad.
Alegna Designs follows a maxim that clients value carefully chosen materials and unique designs adhering to strict designer specifications. Much like a tailor, customized service is offered to each individual client, ensuring his or her pieces are fit properly for size, personality and styling needs. This personal attention to small details sets Alegna Designs apart.
Alegna Designs transforms precious metals and a rainbow of stones into classic pieces, some with whimsy, most with understated elegance. As each creation nears completion, the next design is simultaneously emerging…how scintillating.
